Ranchi — Jharkhand
Our Animal Birth Control programme now spans all 53 wards of Ranchi and five neighbouring blocks, with 2,341 sterilisations and 6,697 dogs vaccinated in 2025, a 47% jump on the year before, with zero rabies-positive bite cases reported. Beyond the clinic, our team rescues, treats and shelters animals at Khunti, and reached over 40,000 people through education across Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Ramgarh.
Mission Rabies Education
Education is prevention. In 2025, our programmes reached a record 1,245,594 children, over 50,000 teachers and 722,074 community members across India, through school workshops, street plays, rallies and training for frontline workers like ASHA staff and police. Kerala, Maharashtra, Goa and Bengaluru led the way, with children putting bite-safety skills into practice in real life.
WVS Taskforce
Our Taskforce teams take hands-on surgical training and mentoring to some of India's toughest environments — from villages bordering Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve to flood-hit Shimla and the Andaman Islands. In 2025, deployments across Maharashtra, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and beyond trained local vets and vet assistants while delivering hundreds of sterilisations and vaccinations — skills that stay long after each visit ends.
Varanasi for Animals — Uttar Pradesh
One of our oldest flagship projects, run with Help Animals India to protect Varanasi's street dogs. In 2025, our team sterilised 2,612 dogs, treated cases ranging from maggot wounds to fractures, and launched the CHAMP rabies-control programme in Sarnath, building on thousands of sterilisations and treatments delivered since 2019.
Project Ashray — CCL & WVS Hope
Powered by our partnership with Central Coalfields Limited, Project Ashray delivered outstanding results for animals across Ranchi and Khunti. In just four months in 2025, our team vaccinated 1,641 animals, sterilised 742, rescued 97, and ran 23 community awareness sessions, backed by a 24/7 animal ambulance and new rehabilitation kennels.
MSD Animal Health & WVS Hope — Pune
In partnership with MSD Animal Health, we're building a rabies-free Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad. In 2025-26, our team educated over 223,000 people — from schoolchildren to ASHA workers and fire brigade staff — and vaccinated 12,769 dogs, backed by new MoUs with both municipal corporations.
